at Johns Hopkins University, School of Education in the Division of Public
Safety Leadership. Since May of 2007, he
has been a full-time faculty member. There he is the Faculty Coordinator of the
Master of Science in Intelligence Analysis Program, now in its sixth year. Dit
has taught for the Graduate School, USA, in Washington, DC as an Adjunct
Faculty member for the past seventeen years.
In addition, he has taught at the H. John Heinz, III School of Public
Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, PA.
founded CGC in 1982, and he has led the firm since that date. CGC is a Washington DC-based consulting firm
specializing in leadership and management development and organizational
assessments. The firm maintains a list
of both public and private sector clients and pays attention to changes in
accountability in both sectors. Recent
clients include Dollar Tree Stores, Inc, the National Archives and Records
Administration, and the New Jersey Office of Counter-Terrorism. Before CGC, Dit was the Regional Director
for the Mid Atlantic Region for the American Management Associations.
[1978-1982] Currently Dit serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the
Columbia Road Land Company and President of the Bogalusa Real Estate Company,
both real estate and forest lands management companies in southeast Louisiana.
He and his family live in the Cleveland Park section
of Washington, DC. They attend the
Cleveland Park Congregational Church, and they are active in neighborhood and
civic groups. He has a particular
fondness for the Balearic Island of Menorca, located off the coast of
Spain. He visits there as frequently as
possible. His wife is a retired Federal
employee of the US Department of Education.
They have one adult son. They
share their home with a French Bull Dog, Sam; and a Maine Coon Cat, Legba.
